Does this sound familiar… I have dived into many things and will be here and there for awhile. I am sure that you have wanted to do many things but you can’t do everything. I am there… Fun projects abound. My goal went from weekly every Monday to 1st Monday of the Month to – I guess my best posts will be made when spontaneous inspiration strikes. Which all my posts that have been hatched out of thin air are the best. 😉

As for Make it Made I am glad I started this new thread because for me it inspired many new avenues. I started coloring and creating in ways I have never tried. I am on a Halloween kick. I love making hand crafted cards for my nieces and nephews. I am even going to pick up where my great grandmother left off with her beautiful small doily flowers… The needles she used are so small. I have crocheted and knitted but I have never done such detailed work. Here is an example something similar that she did. I will have to take pictures of any progress I make with this project.

Recap for those who have not seen my Make it Made posts…

I want to research my concept on the Bio-Suit and when I get a better idea on what materials are out there that might actually work🤞that will be my next Make it Made post. If you have any ideas about how we can make things (made) please join the conversation.
My focus is on my job being a carpenter and in my spare time I am helping authors create there covers or figure out how to set up there books. There is a lot to it. Being an independent author takes a lot of time and patience to make it feel the way it should… I hope to make more author friends because I love seeing different worlds.
Here is a look at my good friend Victor Orne Books. I just helped him create an Instagram account more to come… His 3rd book Stillness in Motion will be coming out soon. What do you think of the book covers? Click on the picture to go to the instagram account.

My mother’s forerunners came from the Portuguese islands, where they made doilies nearly identical to the one in your picture. I grew up crocheting, and once attempted to duplicate one of them ~ they’re actually little masterpieces of the art and VERY difficult to reproduce! A helpful hint is to start with something a little thicker than what we now euphamistically call “crocheting cotton” ~ use that and you won’t come out with anything but loops!

I am not sure if I could ever come close to how she made each one but I think what I will try is to connect them together… I have been wanting to try this for about 10 years… I can’t imagine how much time it took her to make even one! 💞Like
