Love of Creation

I love being a builder. I have had many different jobs throughout my lifetime but being a carpenter has got to be the best, most interesting and fun job I have ever had. When I was really young one of my mother’s friends made a chair and table just for me. I loved it! I loved it so much that I took a screwdriver and pretended I was fixing it up and carving it. When my mother came back in to check on me only moments later to see how I liked my new table and chairs, I had hundreds of little stab markings all over that beautiful new table… “Oh Lynn what have you done?” my mom looked down in shock. I had even crawled underneath the table to work on it from under there. I am not sure if she even knows about those marks. I think she was almost going to cry but not from all the beautiful work I had done.

So yes, from a very early age I have always been fascinated with creating things and throughout my life I tended to lean more to the arts. If you think about it almost everything is an art form really. While I was waitressing, I was wiping down one of the tables and the sun was shining in and I was so happy in that moment that it made me realize that everything that you do can be art, your best form, happiness if chosen. They call it work but for me getting up with purpose is such a blessing and when you love what you are doing it is not work it’s play. 😊

I am in LOVE with this little house… Well right now it is just a shell but pretty soon it will be a little cabin.  We are designing this on spec so it has been so much fun picking out the materials that we will use. Pine paneling on the inside, we will be taking out the double doors to put in a huge window, and a beautiful stained-glass window door will be installed on the east side for our entrance.  To the best of our ability, we will create a floor plan that will utilize all the space.  This is extremely important for the feel of a small place – to be practical and functional.

I always come back to the love of creation. It doesn’t matter what you are doing in that moment you have the opportunity to be present. I feel that each of us contributes to this world an energetic imprint and if I try my best even in my worst times my consciousness radiates outward to the world. I hope that you are aware how important you are.
