Ever since I was little I have loved dogs! I am happy to say that when I was a kid I had a privilege of a best friend. Her name was Pepper she was a schnauzer and the sweetest pup and the best of best friends I could of ever had. She didn’t really like the mailman though. She would jump about six feet off the ground to greet him…
Fast forward a couple years and this little white angel came into my life. A Pomeranian named Puff. I taught her every trick I could. She was extremely intelligent. We were very much connected. Sometimes she would play when we needed her to come. One look at me and I didn’t have to say a word and she would come right to me.
There are four different breeds I would love to give a forever home to. And who am I kidding I would love to be graced with any dog.

There are a couple of factors that come along with adopting a dog. Especially a dog that needs to run (a herding dog). They need extra space to run, play, jump and sometimes try to herd a cow, horse, or sheep even a cat just for the fun of it. I have seen my friends Boarder Collie trying to herd a cat! That was pretty funny. High energy – like any dog they need to be trained. Which I would love doing.
My roommate had an Australian Shepard and I loved being with her. Her name was Shanti but I always called her Shawn DIZ and eventually just DIZ. She was such a character. She didn’t have a tail and when she got excited her whole back end would wiggle.
What I would give for a DIZ.
But…
The only way I could ever have any dog is if I could care for them in the proper way. Where I could be with the dog or dogs for the majority of the day if not all of the day and night.
Do you own a dog? Do you get to spend a lot of time with your pup? Does your family help you take care of the dog? I would love to hear about your best friends. What breed is your pup or did you get a mixed breed?
Some day I will be graced by some best friends again, when the time is right. Hopefully when I own a sheep farm then I will have to get a dog or two or fifteen!
And maybe just maybe…
Some day I could see myself on about 100 acres and have a Dog Haven for as many dogs as I could have. Going for long hikes all day and playing in a dog pack! That would be heaven to me. Being around a dogs is so therapeutic! They are all heart ❤ Some day maybe…
What are your thoughts? Is this too ridiculous? I would love to hear your dreams. I have never found more peace then being surrounded by dogs.
