Let’s go outside Ma! I walk on the desk, look up lovingly and try to nose her chin. Rubbing up against her arm. “Kipton hold on a second…” Mom pets me a little too much and all the electricity goes down to my feet. I hear a loud POP! Blue lightning flashes before my face and the house rumbles. It feels like I fell off the desk crashing pretty hard.
Shaking off my dizziness I look up at a different desk. Woah! Where am I? Ma – Who is this guy…? He looks intense. I look around Ma is no longer there and suddenly I feel really small…

“You want a job, Ernie?”
“Um Hi, my name is Kipton ahhh… his staring intensifies. Why I am here? I have no idea what’s going on….”
“Every dog has his day.” his energy shifting dramatically.
I barely squeak out “I am just a cat sir.”
Bursting at the seams he points at me. “You wanna waste my time? Okay. I call my lawyer. He’s the best lawyer in Miami. He’s such a good lawyer, that by tomorrow morning, you gonna be working in Alaska. So dress warm.”
Continuing to stare at me he picks up the phone. I feel a static like charge rush up my feet and onto my back. I look down at my paw, a prickly feeling burns my eyes, and my vision turns into nothing but particles.

Slowly I crackled back into existence. My eyes fill in an overload of information like small pieces of a puzzle coming together presenting a beautiful view. Did I just pass out? Hmm, I was at Mom’s desk then I walked in front of her like I always do – but how did I get here? This looks like Alaska. Maybe? The water is so beautiful. I have never even seen mountains. Dazed/gawking at the wonder before me I still try to figure out my predicament. Was I in some sort of movie? Man, I don’t think I would want to hang around with that guy for too long. Too intense! Well, I guess at least I wasn’t in that crazy movie that Ma was watching last night those guys were nuts. Going around screaming constantly and killing people for the love of SpaAATaahhh or something… I scrunched up my face and shake off the images.
I inch closer to the water’s edge, not feeling quite right but still trying to take everything in. Looking at the pristine water I casually lean down to lap up some goodness. The stillness of the river captured my reflection. Standing there frozen transfixed on my face I notice my ears begin to flicker and fade out of existence while a sharp electric current surges through my body.
What is going on…!
Thrown off balance, this transition feels even more rigid then the last. My body suddenly jerked into focus my heart rattled by confusing noise. – I gotta get out of here…

Feeling too exposed I started running. I can’t tell where all the commotion is coming from but if I can just get to the edge of that tree line there is a thicket. I duck under a huge log and on the other side an armored man jumps down right in front of me. Nearly missing his foot my nerves make me jump as high as I can.

I land on the huge log that I had just ducked under. I don’t think he even saw me but then looking in the direction he came from I see hundreds of these masked men running right at me. I cower down as low as I can and close my eyes. I wore myself out in a matter of seconds. I just want to be back by the water and take that drink. I hear the men start screaming and with each new scream I feel like I am being shocked. Now any vibration that comes into my ears intensifies painful jolts. I jump off the log and hide under it. Closer the men all scream in unison and I am electrocuted into a new forest.
“Ahh-hhh!” I screech. Breathing heavily, I try to catch my breath. I realize that I better figure out how to get off this electric train ride because I can’t take much more of this. My heart pounding in my head, vision almost nonexistent – mostly like fuzzy static on a TV screen. I slow my breathing, and my vison comes back one pixel at a time. I hear a stream. Water… Yes! I step on a rock to take a well-deserved sip. Before I lean down, I see someone who I don’t think will be my friend. As he steps closer, I realize I keep jumping around to places where I think or talk about. Maybe if I focus or train my thoughts…

Listen buddy I don’t want any problems I think as my hair stands on end. I am just trying to catch a ride out of here. Somehow…
He gets too close for comfort, and I turn and start to run and before I even get to a tree he was already upon me. My body surges and overloads with spasm like energy that shoots from my paws through to my ears. I start to dematerialize and float above myself. Like a spark I quickly fall into a valley feeling heavy and dense. I land in my body existing but not knowing what to do. Waiting to come back online with my eyes closed I hear a low hum and then a whistle. I feel a vibration under my belly. This rumble shakes me into startled awareness. Focusing my eyes there is reason for alarm. A big metal cloud grows louder barreling down towards me.

OOh that can’t be good. I can barely move but I know I have to. I jump off a platform as the metal monster loudly clanks by and hurts my ears.
I don’t want to play anymore. I just want to find a way out of here. Crying almost. I just wanna have a nice little path that is free of obstacles. Something that leads me right to the exit. So I can go home and no more… I pause. *Breath* Well – Focus. Focus. I see the path. Like a bolt my vision turns white, like someone had just flipped a switch. I feel like a chess piece being lifted and then placed in a crucial next move. My eyes flutter back on to view a whole new environment.

I sat there for a moment, still a bit blinded by the light. There was no sound but in the distance, I could hear birds chirping. Wow that one didn’t even hurt. The alley comes into view. My path! I hope this leads me home. This has got to be it. With every ounce of energy left in me I sprint. I say almost like a chant I want to go home. Take me home! This is the exit. The path feels longer than it looked but I put all my thought into getting out of this energy warp hole.
The end near, I slow. Standing on the edge of what appears to be an abyss. In the distance there is a vortex of energy sparking and zapping wildly. This has to be the exit. It doesn’t look too welcoming. The vortex starts to whirl, and electricity snaps me in the face. It is starting to suck the environment down into its core. I have got to try. Jumping towards the vortex I scream as loudly as I can…
Take me home NOW!

I feel weightless as I fly through the air. Being pulled to the core energy it feels thick like pea soup. I am just one individual drop, dripping into an endless mass. My body stretching to maximum comprehension. I think of home. The black core squeezes me tight then explodes with a sharp blue light that blinds me.
I wake up on the floor lying next to the cord to the computer. I can barely see but – I am HOME!!
Ma is never going to believe this one.

A special thanks to Kevin for this blog was inspired by his wonderful pictures.

Also Kevin I wanted to ask you with out making it weird… I am thinking about making a book not sure if I would publish it but before I used any of your beautiful pictures I was wondering if I needed your blessing or should I throw 💰 at you. Of course I would give you credit. I made it weird didn’t I?

Not weird, exactly, but honestly just something I never thought about before 😄
I would certainly appreciate being asked, yes. As far as compensation, I feel that being acknowledged is enough. This is not something I have even thought about getting into as an avenue for profit. Down the road, once I know the rules and such better I might, that could change, but not in this instance.
Now, if you hit it big and want to throw me a Bentley as a gift, I am game 😄😄
On a more serious note, thank you very much. I am very honored that you would even ask or consider using one of my images. 🙏

Kevin, I have been very busy. The book now has wings – it won’t be available for awhile, but if you email me your address I will send you a copy when the first batch is printed!! 😀 Or I could send it to you eBook style – I just think the book in hand is a better option.
