The Universe Within

One thing that I thought I knew (until recently) is that we all have an inner monologue. A little version of you in your head talking away from time to time. My inner self has become quite a character and beloved – most of the time. This internal chatter is not common for everyone. I know people learn differently but for me this information was a bit shocking. If you don’t have an inner monologue then how do people process their thoughts?

There are so many ways/combinations on how an individual thinks. Patterns, emotions/feelings, symbols or having more sensory awareness. Of course, this makes sense when you stop to think about it. Inner monologue or not, looking at all the different ways a person’s brain can be wired helped shed a lot of light in understanding why people can be so different. Not only the fact that Men are from Mars and Woman are from Venus but that’s not all.

People might never understand…

Because they literally don’t process things the way you do. Our inner experience is unique and there is not a universal way of thinking that all others experience in this world.

This explains a lot and knowing this information for me is actually refreshing.

Do you have an inner monologue? If you do are you mostly nice to yourself? Is it just me or from time to time do you have to remind yourself to take it easy on you – for you can be your own worst critic. Sometimes deep down there are roots that are hard to heal from. If I am really tough on myself sometimes I track the thoughts back to traumas experienced so long ago. Little nothing memories that come up again and again like shards of glass you accidently forgot to sweep up.

There is nothing worse then being a prisoner of your own mind. I try to be as gentle as I can with myself. Something that I have been working on for awhile is that even if I don’t understand why someone does what they do or the way the world works. It is okay. It is okay to get lost. That is the reason why I came to earth in the first place is to get lost like Alice down the rabbit hole…

One thing that I know to be true is the message in this video below.

Thanks for stopping by and know that you are loved.

  1. Truly, if we’ve never gotten even a little bit lost we haven’t really lived very much at all, and the worlds beyond the narrow border of our own remain vague, shadowy and threatening.

The success of the new practice of peer counseling is a huge step in the right direction for perspective in this life arena.

    Great write 👌

    1. I appreciate the fact that you read my blogs. That means a lot Ana. Hope all is well. I am still thinking on a topic to throw your way since you put it out there or where you just joking about the 15 minute production of masterpieces…?😉
