“Stand for something or you will fall for anything. Today’s mighty oak is yesterday’s nut that held its ground.”
~ Rosa Parks

Memory is a funny thing. When something so profound happens, it shocks you to your core. You remember where you were, what you were doing and how you felt in that very moment. It can be inspirational, sad, exciting, enlightening but one thing for sure it changes you. One experience, lyric, poem, painting, friend. It is an expression that speaks directly to your life.
“Knowledge speaks, but wisdom listens.”
~ Jimi Hendrix
“For the human species to evolve, the conversation must deepen.”
~ Margaret Mead
Trailblazers change the world and through observing them it helps the whole planet make realizations and connections so that each individual can trailblaze in their own way. We are all trailblazers. We are teachers even if we don’t realize what we have taught.
“Those who know how to think need no teachers.”
~ Mahatma Gandhi
Can you think back to a moment in your life that opened a whole new path for you? I think everyone has had this common experience. What have been some major influences in your life? Your parents, siblings? Watching war on TV? Looking at History, reading about someone else’s life, placing yourself in their situations and thinking about how you might of handled each challenge. Would you of had the courage of Gandhi, Mandela or Martin Luther King Jr.?
“Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.”
~ Nelson Mandela
Music is the pulse of the world. Look at the 60s talk about CHANGE! I know this sounds horrible but sometimes I wish I was born deaf. Songs have been etched into me and sometimes when I just need rest songs will play in my mind non stop. I also have extreme appreciation of being able to hear for I can go through my head like a playlist and pull up all the great songs and they play almost as good as a vinyl record. 🙂 Music is lifeblood, a connection, reverberation of the world. If there were no musicians, no instruments, the vibrational power of the voice would still prevail through our poets and other artforms.
“Music is a universal language that can transcend all barriers.”
~ Dolores O Riordan
A chilling lyric from The Cranberries song Bosnia about war shook me to the core and has stuck with me my whole life. “Sure things would change if we really wanted them to…” We have the power to change things why don’t we change then? Why do we still have war? Obesity and yet there is still famine? Change has to start with a shift in Consciousness. It should not have to take shock to create change. When the energy reaches a certain vibration on this planet there will be a whole shift in consciousness and we will see a coming together of the whole planet. Just listen to the Age of Aquarius by The Fifth Dimension. ❤ They were on to something!
“Forget conventionalisms; forget what the world thinks of you stepping out of your place; think your best thoughts, speak your best words, work your best works, looking to your own conscience for approval.”
~ Susan B. Anthony
When I was little we walked down to the park at night and my father had a flashlight and walked right up to me and turned it on underneath his chin and said GRRRR… It scared me immensely (more than I think he realized). So after that night I use to pump out into the world this thought – please don’t expose me to anything that I could not handle. Through out my life even though I have been trough some tough challenges, I have not been presented with anything that is above my pay grade. A year or so ago I watched a movie that changed me and how I viewed consciousness.
“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”
~ Martin Luther King Jr.
This movie is really all about consciousness. Dr. Steven Greer is a true trailblazer talking about his experiences with the government and about a whole movement of connection. I had to rewind the movie and write down a whole section because Dr. Greer literally changed the way I view reality. I am happy to say that this had such a profound and positive impact on me. There is a lot of change on the horizon. The future looks bright.
If you have a moment take the time to watch this.
So much wisdom is packed into this post. I really liked the Anthony quote. I think we need to keep pouring kindness and acceptance and compassion into the world to end up with the world we want. Wishing you that kind of day. 🙂

I love a good quote that is worthy of passing forward. Also Ana the fact that you write beauty and read it outloud for us – Thank you for this. My soul hears it differently, and that’s the point 😉
