Walking in Iowa

Nights sometimes look like days.

Mornings glow.

Spring pops with color and sometimes surprises, wind, rain and hail bigger then a golf ball!

Little snappers and painted turtles try to cross the road.

This is a very small friend I didn’t even know he was there. I noticed his tail. Some sort of Tropiduchid nymph.

Harvesting wild grapes, playing the game what mushroom is this? – and wild mulberries everywhere.

Score I know this one. Chicken of the woods Yum!

These are my porch spiders. The one with the spikes lived on my porch for months.

Enjoy the views but look where you are walking…

I love the little details.

We were snowed in this year with some snow drifts about 6 ft tall.

She couldn’t see over the snow but she figured out a way to get a better view…

If only my eyes could record all the beauty I have found in the skies 🙂

This was last night – My kitty (Key) sprinting at me like a puma ❤

Key really encourages the walking/adventuring. 🙂 I hope you enjoyed some of the things that caught my eye outside. I would love to see pictures or hear stories from where you live.

What do you find interesting?

  1. Thank you for visiting my blog to lead me to yours, friend! I’ve never been to iowa, but these photos are amazing. I also love that you forage. Good for you!

    Have a great day!
